Like us, mold needs moisture…but it doesn’t need as much as you might think. Humidity can lead to tiny water droplets in many places fueling mold growth. The beginnings of this mold growth can be widespread but often invisible to the eye.

Where should I be careful about high humidity levels?
Bathrooms are common locations of high humidity and mold growth. Make sure a good bathroom fan is installed, that it’s working well and being used. We recommend running this fan during the shower/bath and for about 30 mins afterwards. Consider adding a timer switch to be sure your fan runs long enough and then turns off on its own.
If relative humidity in a part of your home regularly exceeds 50%, it’s best to install a quality dehumidifier/s to keep relative humidity at safe levels. (Ideal relative humidity is 30-50%… don’t exceed 50%).
